FIRE – Elements – Green Wisdom Cards

October 29th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“Creation requires fire”

The power of creation is in your fiery nature. Fire in the mind lights the spark of imagination from which all is born. Fire in the heart of passion turns you on and gives you the fuel to start and sustain.  Fire in the belly supplies the body with a power source for manifestations.  Feed it with energy foods and exercise it to warm it up and keep the engine stoked.

Fire in the spirit illuminates the way.  Success demands the driving spirit of fire, the soul of an eternally renewing light, a catalytic flame that burns bright and hot with mission and vision.

Burn out obstacles that obstruct clarity and light speed.  Purify and clean out the adulterations of belief, contaminants of fear, cloggings of arteries, and comforts of mass mediocrity.  Renounce and release.  Blow up constriction and contraction.  Exfoliate.  Expunge.  Extract.  Expand.  Ex it out.  Burn.

Fired up…
power your purpose
with searing heat of explosion
and expression overdue.
Spontaneous combustion
Now.

Firebrand inciter of revolution
within yourself and in the world,
burn the barricades
churn the boiling pots
catalyze
the cauldron of creation.
See red.

Break out and burst forth.
Get it out, out, out!
Bring on the ma-gma
Mother of ma-tter
Into ma-terialization
Ask the volcano goddess Pele how.

————————————————————–

What kindles your imagination?
What turns you on?
What gets you hot?
What gives you energy?
What do you want to see clearly?
What do you need to burn out and purify in your life?
What changes need to be made?

WHITE – Elements – Green Wisdom Cards

October 20th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“Nature is full of nothing”

You are more space than any thing. In that open space, anything may happen and creation results. Relish the empty and the void, for here and there is the growing grounds for new life. Don’t try to always fill up your life. Let there be pause. Allow for an open mind and an open heart. Then you are free, nothing fixed and determined. Spontaneity, the act of pure creativity, happens in freedom.

We are so blinded by the light. We cannot see the light for the light. Though we come from the light, we tend to see the dark and dense and follow only the known. Trust the invisible which is responsible for all our electro, quantum teleconnections

White out the closed perception and the white light will bring expansive renewal, original purity and pure originality, ultimate possibilities and infinite opportunities. Clear the decks. Go back to the beginning. With no beliefs, no preconceptions – a white slate tabula rasa – nothing conditioned and nothing predetermined enables totally originality.

How open are you?
How free are you?
What is your creation?
What possibilities and opportunities have you closed to?
What new is coming into your life?
In what way are you in between?

————————————————–

No thing
is the pregnant void
your empty wilderness
of the great unconscious
no limitation
Infinite.

Between every breath
Between every pulse
Between every thing
Between every moment
is white
Rest, Peace, Clarity

Mothered by openness
Fathered by zero
Beyond words, vision, sensing
Less is more
Formless is inclusive
Nothing is everything
OM.

WILD WOMAN – Human – Green Wisdom Cards

October 17th, 2008 | Category: Green Wisdom Cards,Human

“Nature holds nothing back”

Free the spirit wild. These are wild times that call for living wild. Bare the heart with pure and natural, unadulterated passion for life. Free your mind to the rapture of the moment, heightening the presence of being.

Feel the feelings to the motion of emotions. Cry the cry. Laugh the life. Rage on. Ecstatic, in love dancing to the heartbeat of the native born, let it out, speak the language of soul – the song. Know the peace.

Vessel of the elements, be expressed, breathed, impulsed, animated, enlivened – Moved by the lightness of air breeze – Gravitated down with the power of the earth – Swayed by the trees – Pulsed by the staccato of fire blazing – Worked out by the volcano of release – Eased into the liquid flow through it all.

Shifted and changed, never the same, be nature’s agent of transformation, unpredictable as weather. Forever a mystery of being, with animal magnetism beyond words and sensuality unbridled by convention and fashion, a butterfly, a beast – hypnotic to the imagination of primordial longing.

How do you free yourself?
Do you express all your emotions?
How open are you to be moved by the moment?
How creatively spontaneous are you?
How connected are you to nature?
Do you trust and show your natural beauty?

——————————————–

Purely primal,
Climb trees
Dig in the earth
Go barefoot
Make sounds
Breathe loud
Be spontaneous
Let your hair grow
Walk Heart First
(not head first).

Captive of life,
Spirit unleashed,
Heart and mind
Body and soul
Inhibition buried.

Flower of earth
You
Natural beauty.

SHADOW – Human – Green Wisdom Cards

October 14th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“With the sun comes a shadow”

Find your “place in the sun.” Then, you are in your power. The shadow from your sunny self shows your imprint on the world. Be aware of your impact. With power comes responsibility to be more aware, as you can cast a shadow on another for better or for worse. You have the capacity to bring shade to those in need of rest and renewal. Or you can put others in the dark. Or you can disempower as you place someone in your own shadow.

Wherever we go, we bring light or dark. It’s a choice. Ask yourself, what darkness do you bring to others. Is there a shadow side of your nature that you are unaware of, or a shadowy nature in you that seeks to dominate or control?

Look at your shadow side. Observe more consciously what you do not know about yourself that is in the dark. Check out the shady qualities that you don’t like in yourself and examine what dims your light. Look at what you are afraid to show and expose.

It’s time to come out of the shadows and shine your light. Come out, come out whoever you are. To know and be aware of your shadow is to know yourself. In this self-understanding, all is well and the future will shine. Then, you are all of you, a sun wherever you go and whoever you touch.

Be vigilant to the other side of you
the side ignored
the side denied.

Look into the dark
and the light of awareness
will clarify.

Your shadow is your reflection
to know yourself is to know
this mirror of you.

Seek to live in the light
in perfect alignment
of the sun above
and the sun within.

To be a sun
know the moon
the power of reflection

See what shadow
and whose shadow
you live in.
Is it your shadow?
or another’s?

In your self-reflections
you become light
dispersing the shadowy
and shady.

It’s easy to have it made in the shade
but only in the heat of the spotlight
can you grow.

Seek the bright light
in the center
and become the sun star
that you are
Wake up! Power up! Enlighten up!

—————————————————–

Are you in your power?
What part of you is still in the dark?
What do you need to look at in yourself?
Are there shady sides of your nature that you seek to enlighten?
What is your impact on the world?
Are you in the shadow of others?

RIVER – Elements – Green Wisdom Cards

September 26th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“Life is a journey”

You are on a journey called the river of life – always moving somewhere. Know where you are going, where you came from, and most importantly, where you are in the present.

Like a flowing river, get into your flow. Your intuition will take you there. Flowing does not mean it’s always physically and emotionally effortless, though in the spiritual dimension it does mean to move easily in consciousness through life. To go with the flow is to accept and surrender to the present with equanimity and grace.

Life is about navigating the river you are on and some rivers are rough, winding, rocky, shifting, narrowing. You are responsible for the river you have chosen. Captain, be aware, alert, awake to the changing course of your flow.

Yet, you’re on the big river called life regardless of your personal choices. So, at the same time of being in control, let go, float along and be.

What kind of river are you? Some are broad and lazy and great for commerce. Are you in this mainstream? Or are you a tributary, a creek in the forest, a steep, daring mountain rapids, a lowland delta, a giant rolling Colorado? Once you’ve found your flow, you can be the flower – all that you are meant to be.

How to be your river and find you flow? Do that which transports you. Move with what moves you. Don’t fight with your mind that you should do this or that. Do what your soul sings and your heart impulses.

When you are your river, you are the welcoming water source for others. All civilizations and all people need water on this water planet of ours. The water you bring is your service to the world. Insure that your river of gifts is transported with safe landing for others to access and benefit.

Gently down the stream
Easy does it -
that which gives you energy.

Sometimes slip in the stream of others
but always seek your own channel.

Soon you will empty out in the great ocean
of collective emotion
Express your life’s desires
on your way.

From the mountain top you began
What was your highest point
that points the way
to return again?

No pollution of the river that you are
No contaminants of negative thinking
No trashing of yourself.

Conserve your underground river
the immense acquifer for reserving
the waters of your source and soul

Let it rain.

————————————————–

Are you in your flow?
What kind of river are you?
What navigations and adaptation are you on the alert for?
Where’s your river going?
Are you able to accept your course of life?
Do you guard and protect your life waters?
Can others benefit by the river that you are?

FOOTPRINTS – Elements – Green Wisdom Cards

September 20th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“Nature always shows a way”

Earth reveals itself, where it’s been, what it is, where’s it’s going, and how it does it, as evidenced in the footprints on the sands of time. All about you are the signs of what’s going on and how you can be a part of that ongoing journey.

In the record, whether fossil, bones and stones, and footsteps, you re-cord. You will find continuity and integrity amidst the shifting and elusive.

Keep walking with the time-tested way and you will find your destination. Don’t get mired down and lost in the changing sands here today and gone tomorrow.

Your time on this earth will end. You will die. And for what did you live? Know that you leave a legacy. Through your progeny, your path, your products, your personality, you leave your mark. You are a pathfinder and trailmaker by the way you live.

Watch your steps for they will lead. You are responsible for the succeeding generations. Make tracks, take steps that last and guide. Pay attention to your footprint, for it may leave to the wrong way. Remember, life is an imprint that stays forever.

Do you know where you are going?
What signs are you following?
What legacy and path have you left?
What are you exploring about life and yourself?

—————————————–

Looking back
You see ahead.

In review
You preview.

Know your history and herstory
And make the future sustainable.

In the rock of ages
- a telltale -
of substratum and substance
Clue to the archaic
and arcane
of the why, how, what, when and why
of us.

Explore, quest, seek
and uncover, discover,
and recover.

Death is desiccated
So, don’t dry up.
Stay fluid
Live wet.

CHAMELEON – Fauna – Green Wisdom Cards

September 17th, 2008 | Category: Fauna,Green Wisdom Cards

“Only the adapt-able survive”

To sustain yourself in a speeding, changing, diversifying, complex, competitive world, you must know how to be adapt-able and flex-able – the essential survival skills. Like a chameleon, change and keep changing. Alert, awake, aware, be prepared to make adjustments again and again and not fall into predictable, mechanical patterns.

The art of communication is paramount in this world of connectivity. To get along, hear and be heard, and live harmoniously with the world, know how to “read the room.” Use your natural gift of empathy and feel out others and situations from moment to moment. Blend in, morph yourself and become like them. You will be aligned, credible, understood and accepted. Others feel comfortable around you and open up. You will have influence.

Watch out that you don’t lose your own inner core of integrity and sense of who you are. Keep to your vision and dream as you go with the flow. Be secure and comfortable with yourself or risk the danger of co-dependency, always needy of outside approval for inside validation. You don’t have to be alike to be liked.
How are you changing?
How are you adapting?
Do you play out all the parts of the multi-you?
Are you empathic?
Do you get along with others?
Who are you?
Are you dependent upon approval of others?
Do you sneak around, blend in, and don’t want to be noticed?

PARENTS – Fauna – Green Wisdom Cards

September 14th, 2008 | Category: Fauna,Green Wisdom Cards

“Growth is based on modeling and guiding”

Parenting is growing kids and more – projects, teams, plants and businesses that are young and need a guiding hand. Regardless, it’s the human touch that works wonders. A pat on the back, a carry on the back, a backrub shows your interest and concern. Touch heals, touch bonds, touch guides.

Along with a hands on way, it’s all about communication. Practice the “Five E’s of Effective Leadership.” They are Engage – show up, be a friend, real, vulnerable. Empathize – feel into their shoes, into their situation, into what they feel – then you will know, and they know that you know and then you can genuinely communicate. Educate – teach the basic social and work skills and why you want them to learn these. Enlist – get their agreement that they understand their role and position, and are willing to play their part. Encourage – give feedback that is positive, constructive and energizing so that they feel valued, worthy and good about themselves and their relationship with you, and sometimes you have to do “tough love.”

Your job is to nurture, grow, cultivate. Sometimes this cannot be speeded up. Parenting requires patience, compassion and hanging in there for the long run. As children and other forms of your creation develop, your role will change and you must adapt and grow.

Your babies are extensions of you and are your legacy. You are the model of the behavior you’d like them to be. Remember, they are different than you and cannot be controlled and contrived as you. Strive to help them become all of themselves. Watch out for over-interference.
Are you hands on?
How do you communicate?
Do you see it through?
Are you growing yourself in the process?
Do you interfere?
Are you a model for your children?
Do you give them the skills they need?

————————————————

Your parenting and leadership work
is to make yourself obsolete.
Give them the essential tools and skills to carry on.

Social skills for knowing how to get along with others
Emotional intelligence of self-control.

Work Skills for living successfully
Discipline
Knowing the rules of the road.

MUDFLATS – Fauna – Green Wisdom Cards

September 11th, 2008 | Category: Fauna,Green Wisdom Cards

“Everything is useful”

Mud is dried up earth yet wet and pregnant with possibility. Now is your time to either let your creativity lie fallow or give it your attentive energy. You have a choice.

Be aware of what you have let dry up. Like a dead fish, without your guardianship, things will die. Everything dies with inattention. Is that what you want?

Your concentration is like rain, for it can immediately turn a dry lake into a fertile bed of life. Do what you love. Tend to your creations with care. With just a little flow from your heart, the waters of love will resurrect the dead.

But sometimes you need to dry things up. Perhaps you have overdone work and been overwhelmed with expectations. Allowing things to rest will bring restoration.

Pay attention to your body. Is it becoming desiccated, stiff and stuck and all dried up. Lubricate those joints and drink plenty of water.

Life is messy
like mud
Dive in
it’s only earth.
Trust, get down,
get soiled
get soul.

Rotten fish
Smells good
when it’s fertilizer.

Everything is useful
Bad can be good.

Revive, Resurrect, Rebirth
Dead is not always dead.

Clean out, burn out, air out
Purify.
Let it die
for a while
to live again.

Get fluid,
Be flex able
Move
to Live.

——————————————-

What have you let die?
What needs to take a rest?
What should you pay attention to?
What to clean, clear and purify?
What to recycle and regenerate?

OASIS – Elements – Green Wisdom Cards

September 08th, 2008 | Category: Elements,Green Wisdom Cards

“Nothing on earth can live without water”

Like the camel which transports, feeds and shelters, you carry and support life. In the roughest of barren times, you are reliable and resourceful, taking others over the hump while digging deep into your own reservoirs.

Dependent upon the life-replenishing waters of the earth, drink from the well so that you are a well spring for the common good. Nourish yourself to sustain others. Nobody can do it alone. Interdependent we sustain. Otherwise, you die, I die, we die.

Deep within you are pockets of natural wealth. Offer that which refreshes and revives you. Be of service, be the oasis, be the camel, be the spring, be the water, and be served.

Water is everything, without it, no life, nothing. Water is sustenance. Water is precious. Conserve! Take no more than you need. Reduce your consumption.

Yes, tap your own water table, but don’t abuse your own aquifer.

For the well-being of the herd and community, no hoarding. Open the source and make trails and access for the fair share and fair trade of those in need. Protect the rights of all to live. Be grateful, be sparing, and be generous.

Quench your thirst
Dowse and trek
Search and sense
Take the long journey
That may be dry and barren.

Bathe away the toils of yesterday
Refill, renew, refresh for today.

Be the oasis
A destination person and spa
Place of rejuvenation
Revered and rewarded.

To the fountain of life within
And without
We drink!

———————————————

What sustains you and gives you new life?
What do you thirst for?
How do you share that?
What do you conserve?
What inner resources do you tap?
